What is Jesmonite?

Jesmonite is a modern eco-resin composite widely used in contemporary design, sculpture and interior décor.

It combines a mineral powder with a water-based acrylic resin to create a strong, durable material with a smooth stone-like finish.

Unlike many traditional resins, Jesmonite is water based and contains no solvents, making it a popular material for designers looking for a more environmentally conscious alternative.

At Fluid Room, Jesmonite allows us to create soft organic shapes and minimal forms that complement modern interiors.

Each piece is individually hand-cast, sanded and sealed by hand. Because of this process, every item will have subtle variations such as small air bubbles or slight colour differences. These natural characteristics are part of the material and contribute to the unique handmade character of each piece.

Jesmonite pieces are designed for decorative use and with proper care will remain beautiful for many years.
